6 Best Subway and Underground Train Movies

The claustrophobic tunnels of the subway system have long provided cinema with a tense, self-contained stage for hostage dramas and chases. In The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974): Armed hijackers seize a New York City subway car and demand a million-dollar ransom. Just as strong is The Warriors (1979): A street gang falsely accused of murder must fight their way home across the city by subway.
