6 Best Pathological Liar Movies

By Vlad Zakh · June 25, 2026

From compulsive fabrication played for laughs to deception with devastating real-world consequences, these films dig into what happens when lying becomes a way of life. In The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999): A charming con man’s web of lies and stolen identities spirals into obsession and murder. Just as strong is Shattered Glass (2003): A rising young journalist’s career collapses after his editors discover his articles are almost entirely fabricated.
