A hotel throws strangers together, and that makes a natural pressure cooker. The Grand Budapest Hotel has a legendary concierge and lobby boy tangled in a murder, Hotel Rwanda has a manager sheltering over a thousand refugees, and Lost in Translation has two lonely Americans bonding in Tokyo.
