6 Best Haunted Hotel Movies of All Time

By Vlad Zakh · April 13, 2026

Hotels trap you with strangers and, in horror, with ghosts. 1408 has a skeptical author locked into a haunted room, The Shining is the unavoidable classic, and Crimson Peak sends a young bride to a decaying mansion with dark secrets. The Lodge snows in a woman with her fiance’s children, Barbarian finds horrors under a rental house, and Vacancy checks in the motel-thriller version.
