6 Best Victor McLaglen Movies

By Vlad Zakh · January 23, 2026

Victor McLaglen brought burly, boisterous physicality to American film, equally memorable in rowdy adventure comedy and searing tragic drama. The Informer is the tragic one, Gunga Din battles a murderous cult with three British soldiers, Fort Apache and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon are the Ford cavalry films, and The Quiet Man sends an Irish-American boxer to his ancestral village. The Lost Patrol rounds out the list.
