6 Best Omar Sharif Movies

By Vlad Zakh · January 16, 2026

Omar Sharif became one of cinema’s most romantic leading men through two sweeping David Lean epics and carried the same soulful intensity through decades of international film. Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago are those epics. Funny Girl follows a performer’s Broadway rise and failing marriage, Mayerling traces a crown prince’s tragic love affair, The Tamarind Seed draws suspicion over a romance with a Soviet officer, and Monsieur Ibrahim befriends a lonely Jewish teenager in 1960s Paris.
