Gary Oldman – 10 Best Movies

By Vlad Zakh · June 16, 2025

Darkest Hour finally brought Gary Oldman the Oscar after decades of being overlooked, a complete transformation into Churchill, while Leon: The Professional is the performance that first showed how far he’d go for a role. Mank carries an entire Fincher film with a biting, verbose lead, The Fifth Element is gleefully over-the-top villainy, True Romance is a small part that still steals every scene, and Bram Stoker’s Dracula is gothic and theatrical. Sid and Nancy, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Dark Knight round out the list.
