6 Best Donald Houston Movies

By Vlad Zakh · March 5, 2026

Donald Houston brought warm, dependable Welsh charm to British film for decades, moving comfortably between comedy and wartime adventure. Where Eagles Dare infiltrates a Nazi mountain fortress, A Study in Terror has Sherlock Holmes chasing Jack the Ripper, Doctor in the House follows medical students through exams and romance, and 84 Charing Cross Road grows a decades-long correspondence into deep friendship. The Blue Lagoon and A Run for Your Money round out the list.
