6 Best Chill Wills Movies

By Vlad Zakh · March 17, 2026

Chill Wills brought a warm, folksy Texas drawl to Hollywood and was a fixture of Westerns and family dramas for decades. The Alamo has Texan defenders making a legendary last stand, Giant follows a ranching family across generations as oil changes everything, McLintock! brings a cattle baron’s estranged wife home, and The Rounders has two ageing cowboys trying to tame a wild horse. Rio Grande and Meet Me in St. Louis round out the list.
