Slovenia Drama thought provoking
Slovenia’s recent international attention has come from sharp, contained dramas, a classroom confrontation, a satirical fake history, that punch well above the industry’s size. Class Enemy follows a strict new teacher blamed after a student’s suicide, Houston, We Have a Problem! claims Yugoslavia secretly sold its space programme to NASA, Rooster’s Breakfast pulls a mechanic into his coworkers’ tangled lives, and Cheese and Jam puts a slacker musician up against his girlfriend’s pregnancy. Panic and Idle Running round out the list.
