10 Best Horror Movies of 2026

By Vlad Zakh · August 24, 2026

2026 has been a strong year for horror, with ultra-low-budget breakouts outperforming nearly everything backed by a real marketing push. Return to Silent Hill leans on fan service, though the atmosphere mostly works. The Strangers: Chapter 3 closes the trilogy competently if not memorably, Scream 7 isn’t the franchise’s best but is a reliably fun watch, and Primate has nasty creature-feature energy. Iron Lung, Send Help, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, Backrooms, Ready or Not: Here I Come and Lee Cronin’s The Mummy round out the list.
