6 Best Arthurian Legend Movies

By Vlad Zakh · March 5, 2026

The legend of King Arthur and his knights has proven endlessly adaptable, inspiring everything from earnest epic drama to comic parody. In Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975): King Arthur and his knights embark on an absurd, comically doomed quest for the Holy Grail. Don’t overlook Excalibur (1981): A young man discovers his destiny as he pulls a magic sword from stone and unites Britain under his rule.
