Sigourney Weaver – 10 Best Movies

By Vlad Zakh · August 19, 2026

Alien and Aliens redefined what an action lead could look like, and Ripley remains one of genre cinema’s most influential characters, while Working Girl shows how sharp she is playing someone the audience is meant to dislike. Galaxy Quest plays a gleefully self-aware sci-fi actress dragged into a real alien conflict, The Ice Storm unravels a suburban 1970s marriage, Death and the Maiden confronts the man she thinks tortured her, and Avatar: The Way of Water casts her as a Na’vi teenager through motion capture. Ghostbusters, Gorillas in the Mist and Avatar round out the list.
