6 Best Montgomery Clift Movies

Drama intensethought provoking

Montgomery Clift brought a raw, wounded sensitivity to American film acting that quietly paved the way for the Method actors who followed. From Here to Eternity has a stubborn soldier refusing to box, Red River and A Place in the Sun are the other major titles, The Young Lions follows three soldiers on opposing sides, Raintree County tests an idealist against the Civil War, and Judgment at Nuremberg gives him a brief, devastating testimony as a sterilised man.
