6 Best Melville Cooper Movies

By Vlad Zakh · March 12, 2026

Melville Cooper brought fussy, officious comic precision to Hollywood and often played pompous butlers and easily flustered authority figures. Rebecca haunts a shy bride, The Lady Eve falls a con artist for her mark, The Two Mrs. Carrolls suspects an artist husband of murder, and Bathing Beauty fakes enrolment at a women’s college. Pride and Prejudice and The Adventures of Robin Hood round out the list.
