6 Best Billie Burke Movies

Comedy feel good

Billie Burke became one of Hollywood’s best-loved comic character actresses, forever tied to one role that made her instantly recognisable to generations. That’s Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, where a Kansas farm girl finds her way home from a magical land. Father of the Bride follows a dad through the chaos and expense of his daughter’s wedding, Topper Returns has a murdered woman’s ghost enlisting a reluctant friend, and Merrily We Live has a scatterbrained heiress hiring vagrants as servants. Topper and Dinner at Eight round out the list.
