10 Best Spanish Horror Movies

By Vlad Zakh · January 19, 2026

Spanish horror favours dread over jump scares: a quarantined apartment block, a child asking uncomfortable questions, a prison where the floors punish greed. It’s among the most consistently unsettling national traditions around. The Nameless has a mother investigating a body identified as her dead daughter, Who Can Kill a Child? lands a couple on an island where the children have turned violent, Tesis finds a film student stumbling onto a real snuff film, and Marrowbone hides siblings’ secret in a new home. Julia’s Eyes, Sleep Tight, Veronica, The Devil’s Backbone, The Platform and [REC] round out the list.
