Burkina Faso Drama slow and atmosphericfeel good
Burkina Faso hosts FESPACO, Africa’s biggest film festival, and its directors, especially Idrissa Ouedraogo, built a reputation for warm, folkloric village stories told with patience. Samba Traore has a thief returning home with stolen money, Wend Kuuni has a mute orphan boy recovering his voice and memory, and Tilai has a forbidden love threatening a village. Keita! The Heritage of the Griot, Yaaba, Moi Zaphira, Sia, Delwende and Kounandi round out the list.
