Anita Garvin was a gifted silent-era comedienne, best remembered for her scene-stealing appearances alongside Laurel and Hardy. Swiss Miss tangles two mousetrap salesmen in a composer’s troubled marriage, Blotto sneaks two friends out to a nightclub with drinks that are really cold tea, Their Purple Moment sends henpecked husbands out on their wives’ savings, and With Love and Hisses lands a hopeless army recruit’s unit in trouble. From Soup to Nuts and The Battle of the Century round out the list.
