By Vlad Zakh · July 2, 2026

2020 gave us family animation, time loops and quiet devastation. Onward has two elf brothers seeking one more day with their late father, Palm Springs has wedding guests stuck in a time loop, and Sound of Metal has a drummer losing his hearing. Tenet, The Father, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, Wolfwalkers and Soul round out the eight.
