By Vlad Zakh · April 24, 2026

A psychological breakdown makes for unforgettable, unsettling character studies. Joker has a struggling comedian’s mind disintegrating into violence, Falling Down has an unemployed man’s quiet rage erupting across Los Angeles, and A Woman Under the Influence has a housewife’s instability straining her family.
