6 Best Hospice and Caregiver Movies of All Time

By Vlad Zakh · April 20, 2026

The quiet, devoted work of caring for the dying has inspired some of world cinema’s most profound and deeply humane dramas. In Ikiru (1952): A terminally ill bureaucrat resolves to find meaning by completing one final worthwhile project. Just as strong is Amour (2012): An elderly couple’s devoted marriage is tested when the wife suffers a debilitating stroke.
