6 Best Fake Relationship and Fake Engagement Movies

By Vlad Zakh · June 23, 2026

A staged romance almost never stays fake for long, which is exactly the fun. The Proposal has an executive forcing her assistant into an engagement to avoid deportation, Just Go with It has a plastic surgeon recruiting his assistant as his fake ex-wife, and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before turns accidentally mailed love letters into a pretend relationship. The Wedding Date, Drive Me Crazy and While You Were Sleeping round out the six.
